Very very late and overdue, I bring you a pic essay of my ONE traditional North Carolina meal I got to eat while in raleigh NC about a month ago. Well for me this past Monday I accomplished that with an Absinthe dinner! It all started with our last All Sugar Event where we ended up at the Lab cocktail, a bar that specializes in Absinthe. Originally I wanted to do a restaurant review but we had a special pre-ordered organized by 2 foodie friends. Beijing is actully a favorite place of mine and one day I’ll [...] Last Saturday I took out the Cheap Ethnic Eatz group to the Château Ramezay Museum which currently has an exposition devoted to the eating habits of our settlers and the culinary influences that shaped todays Quebec cuisine. Funny enough this was my 2nd visit here, the 1st was only 3 weeks ago. Yes a museum in my hometown [...] Yeah I know its the 3rd blog I am posting today but I really wanted to do this one. By know you all know, unless you really live under a rock, that Haiti was hit with the worst earthquake in 200 years, registering at 7.0, on Jan 12th, 2010. This country is already in constant turmoil [...] I was first surprised when I saw this month’s Daring Cook’s Challenge. This month we were doing Pork Satay with Peanut Sauce. I read it and was dumbefounded by how simple it all seemed. I was disappointed because I thought it would not be a spectacular finish. I stand corrected. It was easy, super easy…but ohhhhhhhhhh [...] In my last post I got quite a few of requests for the Beet and Ginger Dip recipe which is served with the shrimp. We were 31 members of the dinner group rejoice in holiday spirit at the Korean Restaurant Atti.
