Very very late and overdue, I bring you a pic essay of my ONE traditional North Carolina meal I got to eat while in raleigh NC about a month ago. Last night I had dinner at Beijing in Chinatown in celebration of the Chinese New Year. Originally I wanted to do a restaurant review but we had a special pre-ordered organized by 2 foodie friends. Beijing is actully a favorite place of mine and one day I’ll [...] When I found out a few months ago that I would be traveling to Raleigh, NC I contacted the tourism bureau to receive a travel brochure. Of course I scrutinized the brochure for food facts or suggestions. One thing that went on my MUST list was the so called local cocktail the [...] This find was shared with me during our latest dinner event….a Turkey Testicle Festival in Illinois. Yes, you read it correctly. Last Saturday I took out the Cheap Ethnic Eatz group to the Château Ramezay Museum which currently has an exposition devoted to the eating habits of our settlers and the culinary influences that shaped todays Quebec cuisine. Funny enough this was my 2nd visit here, the 1st was only 3 weeks ago. Yes a museum in my hometown [...] Yeah I know its the 3rd blog I am posting today but I really wanted to do this one. By know you all know, unless you really live under a rock, that Haiti was hit with the worst earthquake in 200 years, registering at 7.0, on Jan 12th, 2010. This country is already in constant turmoil [...] I was out for drinks with a friend Saturday night and we were a little tired so we left the pub early.
