How do you start off a week in style and non-sobriety? Well for me this past Monday I accomplished that with an Absinthe dinner! It all started with our last All Sugar Event where we ended up at the Lab cocktail, a bar that specializes in Absinthe. My friend Johanne has had a bottle for a while [...] Today I had brunch with a friend near one of Montreal”s biggest makrets: the Atwater Market. In the summer it is briming with produce sold by the local farmers outside. At this tme of the year that space was replaced with Chistmas trees salemans. But there is an indoor part with several great butchers, spice [...] No I am not going all environmental on you all (not that there is anything wrong with it in good Seinfeld dialect). It was just apparently the inspiration of the day. At lunch time I headed over to La Maison du Macaron as the owners graciously donated their new hot-off-the-press recipe book as a prize for [...] I love going to kitchen stores or departments and look at the newest designs, equipments or inventions. Especially now with Christmas coming up I need to window shop for some inspiration to send my list to Santa Claus. I also like shinny things he he. So the tableware section always calls out my name in [...] I mentioned a couple of days I had two exciting evening in a row but I only gave you part of the info. Well I am revealing the first one. Tonight [...] I am by no means a beer connaisseur but I recently went to Bières et Compagnie with some friends and, as the name suggests, there is a lot of beer on the menu. Actually they claim to have over 100 beers. There is a seperate menu just for the beer.
